This summer we are lucky enough to be working out of the brand new Corolla Kennel Club located in "Beach Bag Books and Music" in the Corolla Light Town Center.  Many people know Beach Bag Books and Music as 'Finnegan's bookstore.'  Finnegan is a rather large, extremely friendly,  2 year Newfoundland and this year he's opened up his own store just for DOGS in the back.  That's where you'll find us in our corner office. 

Beach Bag Books and Music offers an extremely well stocked selection of Books, CD's, DVD's, Craft Supplies and Kits, Used Books, Used CD's and the friendliest expertise on the beach.  Sarah, one of Finnegans best friends, has read most if not all of them and she is a master at helping you find that perfect new author or beach read. 

In the Corolla Kennel Club Finn has chosen his favorite beach dog toys, grooming supplies (We carry Corduroy's FAVORITE line of shampoos called Bobbi Panter, the Bad Hair Day Dog shampoo has a manly green apple scent and more importantly never makes him itchy after a bath), the finest, all natural, home made dog cookies you'll find ANYWHERE (ok so we make them), along with a variety of beach themed collars, harnesses, and leashes and Gorgeous ceramic dog bowls and cookie jars.  Along with chewies and some seriously cute Pirate dog toys for those of us with thumbs.  The ceramic dog bowls are made by an artist in up-state New York exclusively for the Corolla Kennel Club, are lead free and perfectly safe, as well as Gorgeous, for your dog to use. 

Tuesday thru Friday afternoons at 4 pm Sarah holds fantastic craft activities for kids that include a Hogwarts Potions class, foam mask making for the littlest ones, gimp jewlery making and some beach themed projects that include making a compass and a kalediascope.  These activities cost between $5-$8 per particpant and are WELL worth it.  The kids have a blast and Mom and Dads can take a break in the air conditioning before dinner.

Anyway, here's a map to find us.  The Corolla Light Town Center is the shopping center that is located across from the Whalehead Club and the Corolla Lighthouse.  It's the top most shopping center if you don't count the Winks next to the Corolla Post Office.  The Corolla Light Town Center has a variety of shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, seafood/barbeque places, a magnificent kite store(they even have inside kites), the t-shirt shop where we get all of our t-shirts printed, Cosmo's Pizza ( by far the best pizza place on the beach), and the best mango Italian Ice I've ever had.  It's moan worthy it's so good.  It's also where the skate park is located.

The map will give you a general idea of where we are located but I'm not sure that it's totally accurate.  On the other hand it's not difficult to find, just drive North on Route 12 past Timbuck II, past the Food Lion shopping center, go about 5 miles until you see a set of bright yellow buildings on your right, a huge expanse of green lawns on your left and a huge red brick lighthouse a bit further along the road on your left.  The bright yellow buildings are the Corolla Light Town Center, turn right into the parking lot, go to the stop sign, make a short Left and we're tucked in behind the Cheese Steak restaurant.  BTW, the Cheesesteak place has amazingly lucious sandwiches with the most steak I have ever seen.  They are literally HUGE!  One fills Corduroy up and that's saying something.
